Self-service lists from ServiceNow
A list owner attaches a spreadsheet to a ServiceNow request. PowerScripts proves she owns the list, applies the adds and removes, and the result lands on her request. IT never touched it.
Recorded on the real product against our demo company, Lakefront Works. The people and data are fictional.

Lou Brown owns the Flats Operations distribution list. When her crew changes, she opens a ServiceNow request instead of emailing IT. She names the list and attaches a spreadsheet: one row per change, add or remove. The request goes to PowerScripts through the MID Server already in the data center. Nothing comes in from the internet, and ServiceNow signs in as a service account that can run this one script and nothing else.
Before anything changes, PowerScripts checks Exchange: is Lou really an owner of this list? If not, the request is refused on the spot. She is, so the rows are applied, and anyone already on the list is simply skipped. The result comes back on the request as a work note: who asked, which list, every row, and a link to the full record. The request closes itself. In PowerScripts, the run sits in the audit with the ticket number, the inputs and the full output. IT never touched it, and can prove exactly what happened.
