Scripts that call scripts
Write a piece once and call it by name from any script. Change it in one place and every script that uses it picks up the change.
Recorded on the real product against our demo company, Lakefront Works. The people and data are fictional.

Alan keeps a small script called Lakefront Sign-off: the closing lines every help desk report ends with. Any script can call it by name. Account Check ends with one line, Lakefront Sign-off, and there it is at the bottom of the run. Then the help desk gets a new number. Alan changes it once, in the sign-off. Group Check was never touched, and it already shows the new number. Write it once, use it everywhere.
