Lakefront Works runs its Microsoft 365 and Active Directory on PowerShell. PowerScripts lets the right people run it safely, and proves what happened. Monday morning. Mimi forgot her password. Harry right-clicks her account and resets it. The new password is never shown on screen: he gets one Copy button. Ten new starters on the Flats. One spreadsheet, one run: accounts, manager and groups, and ten passwords handed over with a single Copy all. Harry can change everyday groups. Domain Admins is a separate, privileged script, so the everyday one refuses it. When someone slips, the audit trail undoes it. Reverse runs the opposite script, with the same ticket and the same proof. Olaf from audit sees every run, every parameter and every result, and there is nothing he can run. Alan, the admin, makes Lakefront's own copy of a catalog script and changes one default, so leavers always land in Disabled Users. Harry gets Alan's version straight away on his right-click menu, and runs it without ever seeing the code. Already have scripts? Annie pastes in one she has run by hand for years, and its parameters become a run form. One click sets up the output. Same table on screen as always, and now a spreadsheet emailed to Clark. Need one nobody has written? Annie describes a VPN access review in plain English. The Helper turns it into a prompt that knows PowerScripts. She pastes it into Claude, and gets back a complete, documented script, and the settings file that tells PowerScripts how to run it. Pasted in and run. Four people who should lose VPN, each with the reason, department and manager. For compliance, Connie switches on one setting: every run needs a ticket number. No ticket, no run. With one, the stale accounts report runs and emails Clark, and every run under that ticket is one search away. Annie makes it weekly, every Monday at seven, and Run now proves it works today. Long runs never hold anyone up. Harry moves on to the next ticket, and a toast tells him when it is done. And every run lands on one audit trail: who ran what, against which system, under which ticket, with the full output.
