Connie Configurator looks after PowerScripts settings. She turns on one switch: from now on, every run needs a ticket number. Clark Kent in IT asked the help desk for a list of stale accounts. Harry tries to run the report without a ticket, and PowerScripts won't start it. With INC0042 on the run, it goes through. Thirty-five stale accounts, in a spreadsheet, emailed straight to Clark.
Months from now, anyone can search for that ticket and see every run under it: who ran it, against what, and what came back. Annie Author makes it a habit. Every Monday at seven, the same report runs on its own and lands in Clark's inbox. No ticket, no reminder, nobody has to ask. Run now fires it once, so she knows it works without waiting for Monday. And the scheduled run lands in the same audit trail, marked as scheduled, with the email it sent.
